I too have seen this bug happen several times. I think there's
an incompatibility between 1.2.4 and 1.2.5..

I get this warning at run time of a program I wrote in gtk:

Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkcontainer.c: line 739
(gtk_container_dequeue_resize_handler): assertion
`GTK_CONTAINER_RESIZE_PENDING (container)' failed.

This message occurs on a widget with a tooltip, but not on the first,
only on subsequent ones. For example:

1. Place mouse over widget until tooltip pops up. Everything ok.
2. Place the mouse on a different widget until its tooltip pops up. The
warning now occurs.

3. Move the mouse back off and back on the same widget; the same warning
occurs. Moving the mouse back to the first widget still gives no
warning.

4. Resize the window. This time when you place the mouse on the widget
with the warning, the warning does not occur. But if you move the mouse
back to the first widget, the one that was ok in the first place, now
the warning occurs on this one.

The message does not occur on similar widgets without tooltips.

*** This did not happen on version 1.2.4-2; I reinstalled this version
and verified this. (I reinstalled libgtk1.2 1.2.4-2 and libgtk1.2-dev
1.2.4-2).

It is a printer utility program for a Lexmark printer. The widgets in
question would be the pushbuttons on the "Install Cartridges" page, on
the pushbuttons labeled "Step 1 ... " and "Step 4 ...". It also occurs
on the pull-down menu items since they also have tooltips.
