You can't choose to use this visual type: you have to use one proposed by
the X server.

The easyest way, and I think the recommended way, is to use GdkRGB. You can
hack with the colormaps if you know that your application will be used only
on one sort of computer. But if you need to be portable, that's a bas idea.
