Norbert,
After looking around, and feeling a bit wild, I issued this command rm -r
/usr/X11R6/include/gdk/
and now I can compile gtk stuff. :) :) :-)
Also I checked the file date of the files pointed out below and found them to
agree with my 1.2.6 install.
