setting combobox height

Subject: setting combobox height

How can I specify the  height of the Gtkcombo pulldown height ?
I have about 40+ items in the combo box and want to display 20 items at any time 
I tried gtk_widget_set_usize(combo->popup, width, height), but couldn`t get the result..
Any help is appreciated
