yeah, notably Microsoft...in light of the very nature of GTK, GNOME, and all other open
source projects that rely heavily on standards doesn't this attitude set off some rather
glaring red dome lights and piercing whistles?

why does orbit choose to implement an industry standard instead of creating yet another?
