[Belated announcement] Perl/Gtk 0.5000

Now available on Gnome CVS, CPAN and ftp.gimp.org, Perl/Gtk 0.5000. (At
gnome-perl, <http://www.cpan.org/modules/by-module/Gtk/>, and
<ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gtk/perl/> respectively). This module binds Gtk
versions from 0.99.something up through 1.1.11 (and probably higher) to
Perl versions from 5.003 (with a little creaking) through 5.005. 

Gnome is supported directly within this version (a separate module is not
needed), as are several other Gtk extensions, including GtkGLArea. An
experimental facility for lazy-loading is provided, and both memory usage
and load time should be reduced by a small degree.
