Re: localedef and gtk, strange effect

This is the system i use:
gtk-glib-version: 1.1.13
glibc: glibc-2.0.110-0.990121
Linux 2.2.0 #3 SMP i686 unknown

this is the run of localedef that makes perl happy and leads to correct
printing of
german umlauts in i.e. "info":

localedef -f /usr/share/i18n/charmaps/ISO-8859-9 -i
/usr/share/i18n/locales/de_DE -u
/usr/share/i18n/repertoiremaps/charids.894 de

"info quatsch"
leads correctly (not the best german, but with umlauts :-) to
"Es gibt keinen Menüpunkt »quatsch« in diesem Node."

Now it is not easy to try the old one, as i get
/opt/gnome/lib/libglib-1.1.so.13: undefined symbol:
__register_frame_info
when i install glibc-2.0.7-29. That means i have to recompile gtk+ for
the older libs ...
