GdkPixmap

Hi. I am new to this mailing list and I have a problem for some time now
that I cannot solve (yet).
I am trying to read a xpm file, display it and modify some pixels.
I read the xpm file fine, it displays fine but now I do not know the
format of
GdkPixmap.user_data to get access to the pixels.
Is there a better way to do this, or is there something I should read
about?
