I've been having problems mkinstalldirs when I do this (the --prefix=~) -
it doesn't make the directories, I have to do it manually. Is the problem
on my end? For example, this didn't work for glib-1.1.12. There are no
error messages until it tries to install something to the directory it
wasn't able to make.
Should the line "top_srcdir = ." in the root Makefile (about 10th line) be
"top_srcdir = `pwd`"? And likewise for top_builddir? (I can't try this
since I've already made the directories manually).
Thanks,
David
