Problem compiling gtk+-1.1.12 on rh 5.1

Hello!

Can anybody help me with this prolblem?

My OS is redhat linux (SOT) 5.1 and my PC is Intel P2.

I've run ./configure in the ~/gtk-1.1.12 directory successfully (I had 
to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib thing before running 
configuration).

Now "make" complainse the following ERROR:

 [root@localhost gtk+-1.1.12]# make
make all-recursive

What does this mean? What do I need to do?
