My best guess is that the ./configure script fails to find gettext on yer
machine... verify that by rm'ing *.cache and running ./configure again...
I had this problem a lot under FreeBSD CURRENT with gettext 0.10.35
installed and GTK 1.1.9. Haven't been able to try 1.1.12 yet though...
Although I am suspecting that the autoconf file still have their bugs, if
anyone knows how to test to be sure, please mail...
