Hello,
I wrote a GTK+ widget to select regions from images. This is
available at
http://www.physik.uni-halle.de/~e2od5/debian/gtkimreg.html
or
ftp://tower.physik.uni-halle.de/pub/debian-maintain/libgtkimreg
The latest version is 0.0.8. It requires GdkImlib.
It comes with a small test program written in the style of testgtk.
This test program works in general but it seems to break randomly.
I tried several times both functions and all worked well. But sometimes
it breaks under fairly the same conditions, each time using the
same image (which is shippped with the example in the sources).
I tried to debug with dmalloc but couldn't get any clue. In my
opinion the bug has to be searched in GTK+ (I used 1.1.15) but I'm
not really sure. I would like to suggest that the developers have
a look at the small program and test it. May be this leads to a
hidden bug in GTK+.
Kind regards
Andreas.
PS: If I use the widget in a real application it works well so far ...
