hi,
i'm kinda new to linux and i'm having trouble installing gtk+ and glib.
i've downloaded both 1.1.14 versions. i configure, make, and make install
the glib with now problem. but configure halts because it says i don't
have glib 1.1.9 or better.
actually, i'm trying to compile gtk+ v1.1.9. i've got the patches up to
v1.1.14. another thing is do i have to have cvs to use the patches?
anyway, i think the problem may be that i don't have the LD_LIBRARY_PATH
or whatever set right in /etc/ld.so.conf. can somebody tell me how i
should enter that? i used the default prefix of /usr/local on glib
configure...
well, thanks for your time,
Cameron
