GTK 1.1.14 compile problems (Irix 6.3)

Hey folks,

I just compile Glib1.1.14 with no problem.  But now when I try to
compile Gtk1.1.14 I get the following error when trying to make:

(cd .libs && ln -s ../libgdk.la libgdk.la)
Making all in gtk
make: file `Makefile' line 517: Syntax error
*** Error code 1 (bu21)
*** Error code 1 (bu21)

What gives?
