No text on widgets

Hi,

I compiled gtk 1.2.6 on HP-UX 10.20 using gcc and gmake. There was no
compilation problems, but when I ran the testgtk program, there was no
text on the widgets( all menus, buttons...) has no labels. When I run
simple, testdnd and other test programs, everything seems Ok. What am I
doing wrong?
