setting label font size

  (I don't expect a 'yes' to this, but just in case...)
  
  Is there a way to preset the font size of all the labels for a given
program, or at least in a given container?   
  
  I just want the labels to be proportionate to the resolution of
everyone's screen, an rc file setting would be ideal...
