Using GdkRGB objects together with non-GdkRGB

Hi all,

Is it possible for an application to use GdkRGB objects (such as visuals and
colormaps) together with Gdk objects which are not part of GdkRGB? I'm asking
because I'm working on a library which might use GdkRGB, and the application
which links to this library may not necessarily use GdkRGB.
