Compiling woes

Hi,

I'm been wrestling with glib and gtk+ 1.2.x under
AIX 4.2.1 with
very little success. I've tried both gcc and cc
will no success.
Has anyone successfully compilied and installed
glib/gtk+ from
scatch on AIX 4.2.1 and if so what combination of
tools did
you use.
