Please bear with me if you can I am a rookie at this and I
need to get gtk+ installed so I can run a x11amp in Redhat 5.2...
I already got
glib-1.1.16 installed but now I am trying to install gtk+-1.1.16 so I go to its directory and run: ./configure
I get this message:
*** The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found *** If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in *** your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the *** full path to glib-config. configure: error: *** GLIB 1.1.15 or better is required. The latest version of GLIB *** is always available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org. I am not real sure how to fix this so I am hoping to find some one out there who has installed this before... Does this mean I didn't get glib-1.1.16 installed correctlly
or is there something I need to change???....I do know that the glib_config is
in /usr/local/bin....
Again thank you for your patience in dealing with a
rookie....
