gdk_window_new with position...

hi,

how can i place my first and only GDK window in the center of the screen ?
i played with
#define ATTRIBUTES_MASK (GDK_WA_X | GDK_WA_Y)
and so but it don't work.. with GTK_window and POS_CENTER this works
fine.. but not with GDK_win.. 1.0.x/1.1.x :-( 

any ideas ?
