I just moved from a CVS snap of GTK (for GIMP) to a GNOME 0.3 RPM of GTK+.
I'm getting a lot of the following when I try to run apps.
<insert app-name here>: error in loading shared libraries
: undefined symbol: gtk_object_check_cast
I've tried removing all of the GNOME, GIMP, & GTK+ (includeing guile,
gtop, etc libs) from /usr/lib and /usr/local/lib and removing all the
GNOME/GTK/GIMP related header files from /usr/include and
/usr/local/include, but I'm still not getting anywhere. Grabbing the
newest snaps of GIMP and ee fixed their bitching, but GnomeSolitaire,
Replay and a few others aren't being so friendly.
Is this something I'm doing wrong (eg, old libs, bad sym links) or did
something change in GTK?
