As a C newbie myself, I have yet to find anything online that even comes
close to dead trees. (So sue me, I've got a Master of Library Science; I
LIKE books.) For quick, but sometimes too terse C info, nothing beats
K&R. For rich detail and extended examples, Deitel and Deitel's _C How
to Program_ is awfully sweet.
