Gtk perl module creation/installation error

When doing 'make test' during the installation of Gtk-0.2.1, I get the
following error:

Gtk.c:10546: invalid format `#line' directive
make: *** [Gtk.o] Error 1


Line 10546 of Gtk.c reads:

#line  "Gtk.xs"

     ^^
It seems to be missing a number?
