widget's parent

Ok, I'll probably thump myself when I get an answer to this, but I'm
going to ask anyway.

I want to know what widget is the parent of a widget. I guess my main
concern is that I want to use gtk_fixed_move on my widgets, which means
I need the widget's parent. 

Basically I'm constructing a shared library of utilities with GTK, so I
need a way to find the parent that is a fixed container for the widget,
if the widget does indeed have a parent.
