i'm using the latest Gtk and Gimp as of right now (3-9-98, 9:15pm EST),
and for some reason, the file selector doesn't list all the files. i went
to modify an icon for windowmaker, and went to
/home/nuke/gnustep/Library/WindowMaker, and saw nothing. i double clicked
the "./", and got the full listing. i entered the Pixmaps directory, and
saw three files. i double clicked "./" again, and got all of them.
also note that a bug i reported back in 1997 still hasn't been fixed. in
the Gimp's Select by Color option, if the image is smaller than the
dialog, it is centered in the dialog. the user is expected to click on an
area of the image to select a color, but in this situation, it thinks the
image is in the top left corner of the dialog. maybe someone should look
into this too. i think it was ignored the first time.
