compile problem

when I try to compile gtk I get the following error:

*** Error code 1
This is with gtk+ 1.0.4 but the error is the same with 1.0.3. I'm
compiling under freebsd 2.2.6 with gcc 2.7.2.1. How can I make it go? :)
