Stupid Error

Hi All,

I checkedout the newest version of GTK+ from the CVS archive, compiled it,
then tried to compile the example program helloworld and got the following
error:

./helloworld: can't load library 'libgtk-1.1.so.0'

The permissions on libgtk-1.1.so.0 are

lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root           19 May 31 22:40 libgtk-1.1.so ->
libgtk-1.1.so.0.0.0
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root           19 May 31 22:40 libgtk-1.1.so.0 ->
libgtk-1.1.so.0.0.0
-rw-r--r--   1 root     root      2098168 May 31 22:40 libgtk-1.1.so.0.0.0

Any ideas what could be wrong?
