Option Menu signal

How can I get the option menu widget to emit a clicked signal, so I can
find out when it is changed.  I want to have it control the contents of
a combo widget.

As in you have a few fixed items in the option menu, and when clicked
on, the option menu tells the combo to list a different collection if
items.
