bug in g_print ?

Hi,

I have an application written in plain gtk+ and one in gtk--. If I 

1. launch them from an xterm, 
2. stop and 
3. put in background, 

they stop to respond till I put them in foreground again after the first
call to g_print.

Is this a bug in g_print or in gtk+ ? printfdoes the same.
