Probably. That or gcc-2.8.x (just released :). There are some
fundamental parts of the c++ spec that gcc < 2.8/egcs just can't do.

Templates... and... What else? Anyone? I don't use c++ so this is all I
know of.
Check out http://www.cygnus.com/egcs and browse the mailing lists to get a
more complete list. The essential features in egcs are probably in
gcc-2.8.x
