Hello,
I've got a dialog which contains a pixmap, but if I start the application with
X over the net (export DISPLAY=host.domain:0.0) I get this (as soon as the
dialog with the pixmap is displayed):
----8<----
nils@rhlx01:~/boomerang/client> boom
** WARNING **: XShmAttach failed!
----8<----
Any idea how to check for a networked X connection and then disable XShm thus
not displaying this error message?
I'm using gtk+-971201 since the problem with the filesel dialog I mentioned
earlier in the list still hasn't been solved (SIGIOT on doubleclicking a file,
only crashes with gtk+ >= 0.99.0, gtk+ <= 971201 work like a charm, the
SIGIOT is generated by X I think, there's an error message, that says "Bad
Window parameter" if I remember correctly).
Furthermore:
libc-5.4.33, XFree86-3.3.1, linux-2.0.33.
Regards, Nils
