I hoped it would crash in the same spot as my program, but it doesn't,
obviously.

Now, remote debuggin thru a mailing-list is not very effective, I
guess.  I don't promise anything but if you send me your source I
could try to reproduce the problem.  I would especially like to test
it with a modified Gtk version of mine that should be more robust (in
theory).

What happens when you run the program with `--sync'?
