gdk_pixmap_destroy?

I'm doing a build of gimp 0.99.15 using gtk+-0.99.2

I'm getting a linker error telling me it can't resolve gdk_pixmap_destroy,
which is in file ifscompose.c.  A grep didn't show that this function
exists anywhere.  

Does anyone know what's up with this?  Is this buried somewhere I wouldn't
expect?
