text error gtk+-1.1.11

Hi!
Looking for the features of gtk+-1.1.11 I got 


Gtk-ERROR **: file gtktext.c: line 2786 (correct_cache_insert):
assertion failed: (end->offset >= MARK_CURRENT_PROPERTY (end)->length)
aborting...
IOT trap/Abort

when trying the text example of testgtk. I just inserted some random
text clicking on the button at about 2 times per second for about 10
seconds.
