Are there any convenience functions that will, for example, pop up a dialogue
box and block until the user closes it? Or one that returns a value according
to which button the user presses?
Other toolkits have this sort of thing, and they're incredibly useful for
random messages. It seems a bit over-the-top to create a custom box every time
and then have to do that bit about becoming application modal, doing a nested
main loop etc. I would have thought this would be built in to the toolkit.
