How to display UTF8 and Unicode ?

Im about to start to code an application and Im wondering
about GTK's support for Unicode,Utf8 and Utf16.

Are these character encodings supported ?
Which widgets should i use to display encoded text  ?
Do I need fnlib for it ?
Which fonts could i use ?
