I still don't know what's the difference, if any, between gcc 2.8 and
egcs. Anyway, all GNU tools are/should be available. It's the Hurd
stability that makes me fear... If I get the XFree port and it works on
my machine (it should, it's a pretty average system), cross your fingers
and maybe GTK compiles out of the box. If it doesn't, any help will be
truly welcome. I have very little experience in forcing things to
compile when they don't want to.
I guess the guys in help-hurd would like to know about this, too.
Unfortunately I'm getting busier and busier (exams coming along, you
know) and this will possibly have to wait till summer.
