Hello,

I just uploaded a the patch gtk-johannes-980417-0.patch.gz and it's 
accompanying README to ftp.gtk.org. Here's the readme:

This patch adds the function g_list_merge_sorted to glib. It merges
two already-sorted lists into one big sorted list in linear time.
