I just got this mail. Looking over the patch, I can't quite see how it
would work, because it only seems to affect the get_text call, where the
main calls that need to be affected are draw_text and so on.
I agree with Dan, however, that the most concise way to get a password
entry widget working would be to add the visibility flag as he proposes,
rather than subclassing the widget. Obviously I've been infected by the
object orientation virus :)

This implements a GtkEntry suitable for passwords. It could be better,
but it works.
