[Q] Reparenting a widget to another top-level window ?

My efforts so far haven't been too successful, gtk_widget_reparent
doesn't seem to like being passed a top-level window, nor a container
in an other top-level window than the one the widget I wish to
reparent currently is in.

Before I post some of my non-working test code, has anybody done it
and could he be nice enough to show me how he did it ?
