The second bug reported in this user report is almost certainly a bug
in the gtk file selector.

- -- Other system notes:
nothing interesting......
- --
- -- Problem description:
2 problems.
1) jpeg support won't compile , I suspect this may be my
fault , however, the jpeg libraries seem to be installed
correctly - even compiling specifying where the jpeg libs
are doesn't seem to help.
2) Clicking on "../" when using the file requester , after
having changed the contents of the directory elsewhere (ie,
removing a file using a xterm) , causing gimp to exit. (gimp
fatal error , sigsegv caught (wire_read ; unexpected EOF)
- --
- -- How to repeat:
open file requester.
go to an xterm and remove some files from that directory.
click on "./" or "../" in the file requester.
