No no, I'll try to make the changes incrementally.  When I can trust
my visions, it would mainly involve adding functions and macros.

I tried to do the same with Tk but shied away because of the huge
amount of work that would have to be done to isolate it from the TCL
interpreter.

Basically, I'm lazy, and this overhaul is the best way I can imagine
to save us all work later.
