Hi All,
I recently noticed SDLPango, Pango support for the SDL library.

Applications that work with the SDL library are
- TuxPaint et al (http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/tuxpaint/)
- gcompris (http://gcompris.sourceforge.net/)
SDL applications are typically multiplatform (Linux, Windows, ..) and do
not currently
have good support for non-latin languages
