Those fonts are just TTF's most of them  (devanagari, tamil, bengali,
malayalam, gujarati) have been converted to opentype by adding the
needed tables. all these opentype fonts are avialable in the
indlinux-hindi package, available at
http://www.indlinux.org/downloads/
