In order for users to get the best possible use out of input methods in gtk2, one thing
that would be really nice to have would be access to help docs that describe them.
Some questions: what format should such docs take, and how should they be organized? How
should the user be able to access them? I think a reasonable UI would be an "Input Method
Help" item at the bottom of the Input Methods drop down menu, which, when clicked, would
bring up a help browser window. However, that brings in the dependencies of the help
browser. Which might mean that the help docs would have to be split into a seperate
"gtk-im-help" module. The hooks for adding an Input Method Help item to the Input Methods
menu would still need to be added to gtk.
Thoughts?
