Hello, Recently, gnome-terminal (libzvt actually) started using Pango font specifications rather than the old X11 specifier. Generally, I suppose this is a good move, but it begs the question: how do I continue to use the "fixed" (X11 font alias for "-misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--13-120-75-75-c-60-iso8859-1") font in my gnome-terminal? How does Pango->X11 font mapping work? Are different methods of mapping used depending on whether Xft is being used or not? How does xfs (X font server) fit in all of this if at all? I have read what there is at www.pango.org but I can't seem to figure it out. Thanx, b. -- Brian J. Murrell
