Thanks, I should reconsider my environment.

Thanks for taking care. I changed the default fonts defined in
testtext.c from Sans to Fixed, and my .pangox_aliases is:

fixed normal normal normal normal "\
 -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,\
 -isas-song ti-medium-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,\
 -daewoo-mincho-medium-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,\
 -jis-fixed-medium-r-normal--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,\
 -*-*-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*-iso10646-*"

This works except at last line (adobe-courier is searched at first,
then isas-song ti, then daewoo-mincho, then jis-fixed, but last
iso10646 is not searched). If I write as:

fixed normal normal normal normal "\
 -*-*-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*-iso10646-*"

I receive error as cannot open default font.

xlsfonts lists iso10646 fonts,

% xlsfonts | fgrep iso10646
-gnu-unifont-medium-r-normal--0-0-75-75-c-0-iso10646-1
-gnu-unifont-medium-r-normal--16-160-75-75-c-80-iso10646-1
-gnu-unifont-medium-r-normal--16-160-75-75-c-80-iso10646-1

and xfd can display them. I want to hear any suggestions.

Best Wishes,

suzuki
