Which version of gtk-doc are you using? (You probably should use
the latest from CVS.) 

Until Feb 5, gtk-doc.dsl referred to the base stylesheets with an
absolute path instead of a public entity, and gtk-doc just
looked for the base stylesheets in a few fixed locations.

The current gtk-doc.dsl does:

 <!DOCTYPE style-sheet PUBLIC "-//James Clark//DTD DSSSL Style Sheet//EN" [
 <!ENTITY dbstyle PUBLIC "-//Norman Walsh//DOCUMENT DocBook HTML Stylesheet//EN" CDATA DSSSL>
 ]>

Which is independent of where the stylesheets are installed. (You
will need to have correct catalog files for this to work.)

I think all your other warnings are just results of not finding
the stylesheets.
