So what happens if I upgrade my glib without upgrading Pango?
[I still do not feel like being a Cairo guinea pig.]
Crash? Something fundamental stops working? Nothing I
will ever notice?
IMHO, such an upgrade is supposed to work. If it does not, then
what does API/ABI stability mean?
