TextView and TextBuffer features

Hi to the list, 
first of all I would like to thank you for your excellent work on GTK. 
It' like a dream to work with it! 

But as every dream, people want always more :-) 

There are a couple of featues that were planned for TextView &
TextBuffer but never implemented (correct me if i'm wrong) 
-hide part of text using tags 
-possilibity to add small image on the sides of the widget (usefull for
breakpoints, bookmarks...) 

Are you planning to add theese features soon?
